Last night's shindig was great fun. Tokyo Joe's (who knew they did sushi?), drinking, Once, Michael showing up, Kinky Boots and finally Firefly for an episode, before hours of talking. Katie and Leah, you guys got home ok, yes?
Yesterday was spent running around shopping. A
new camera (SO SNAZZY), booze at Applejack, $27 back on a shoe-sale price adjustment, two new pairs of shoes, a shirt at Old Navy... and that took all day, cause it was Denver West to Applewood to Flatirons to Belmar to Walgreens.
The night before it was Jose O'Shea's and Juno with Clay, his mom, his cousin Marli, and Jo. Only the LHSers went to the movie, and we were taken aback by how much of a high-school hangout the Denver West movie theater still is. We went to Barnes & Noble afterward and the story was the same. Funny how the actual kids move away, but the late-night demographic stays the same. And the movie? A new favorite. Everyone ought to see this film.
Today's been a day of phone conversations: a little bit with cousins Flo & Jerry, at least an hour with Renee, a good long while with Moishe, and then hours just now with Jo, who is thinking she may have ADD (and with good reason-- her symptoms match mine, just as they match those of HS friend Amy, who was diagnosed two months ago and told Jo about it yesterday).
And now my deadline looms. Off to write two 4,000-word papers before I leave.
Also, my internet is freaking sluggish and I don't know why.
