i have 84 emails
those little bites on my thumb from D's chihuahua are almost all healed
starting to get junk mail in the brandeis address -- good thing i'm stopping using that soon
missed the new student sendoff today cause we were stuck in mountain traffic
but got lots of pictures of the whole trip. (though the memory card i used for all days but today is in Emma's possession, since she loaned me her extra this morning and took my full one in that carrying case)
found some sheet music from Amelie online -- just samples, though. The book, complete with six songs, goes for $45 on random sites. I plan to dig deeper -- there've got to be some amateur transcriptions (or scans!) out there.
I did score the first two pages of Comptine d'une autre été, which is most of the piece, from different sources. That's the one David can incompletely play on his guitar. After fifteen minutes I can do it all on piano, if still a little hesitantly. I also spent some time going through Clair de Lune, and both the sightreading skills and finger memory are coming back surprisingly easily.
I am thanking God for how comfortable HOME feels, because God knows how much I need comfort zones right now.
tomorrow, life starts again. turns out I need a student visa this time in Ireland, gotta figure out whether Trinity will house me, get loan money, call some Irish consulates (none in Denver) re this visa thing, meet with the ADD counselors, and back to canvassing.
It just never stops when you're a grownup, does it?
