lesson went really well
(the students may never fully understand the present perfect tense, because three days of grammar lessons were not so effective, but the teachers all liked my preempting pronunciation problems before drilling)
bought a Rodrigo y Gabriela CD because I heard one of their songs on the radio this morning and because D loves them so
(but very consistently replace "y" with "e" -- silly Italian)
am expecting a phone call from aforementioned D, but when Gayle said she'd called this morning and the phone showed no record of it, am reduced to hoping the phone decides to receive this one.
I learned an Arabic word to tell him, anyway.

Also, I got my hands on the awesomest TEFL text ever: Learner English. it anticipates learners' problems by deconstructing their languages from every linguistic angle. it is a lingnerd's fantasy.
