thunderwhat!

i haven't checked my email in very almost 24 hours.

My God, it is liberating.

the stuff i was dealing with was not conducive to writing this paper (to the point of raising my heart rate worryingly), so I closed Thunderbird around 7pm last night and haven't looked back. Apart from a couple of withdraw(r)al twitches, it's been amazing.

Soon I've gotta open it, though, cause the Zee and I made the most awesome art project ever: t-shirts. Since Ellen shows up to practice EVERY DAY with a Dunkin Donuts iced coffee -- and I do mean every day, including those two-above-freezing spring break practices (her lips were purple) -- we pirated the logo and slogan to change it to ELLEN RUNS ON DUNKIN'. We replaced the America picture with one of her face from the banquet. It's brilliant. It's gorgeous. I'm proud of us. I also suggested to Sarah that the seniors give her a Dunkies gift card at our graduation drinkfest a week from today.
EDIT: zee will not be making the shirts tonight... she got in a fight with her parents that was enough to ban her from the printer and the iron, I suppose.

oh, not to mention opening Tbird so I can send Janet my independent study. It's 28 pages (yes, in times new roman) and lacks only the Mystical Very First Sentence (pretty much the hardest one in any piece), a couple of transitions, and a structured bibliography.

This time, I'm putting it off because it's much more familiar to be in stressed-out way-tired limbo than it is to be DONE WITH EVERYTHING (where the only limbo is my verrah verrah last grades). still, it's gonna be done and I want to be in bed by 9 or 10. My room ain't clean like I wanted it to be, but I'll live. As long as my independent study is done, I'll live.

PEE ESS new england fours photos are up! (this is a link to photos only of my boat, but the dropdown menus are easy enough to navigate should you care to examine the others.)
my particular favorite is this one -- probably because you can see all of us, AND we are beating the pants off of Lesley. Be sure to check out some of the others of us, though -- a couple give really nice views of my hot hot bicep.
Wish they'd had photos from petite finals! Winning a close race is glorious. I can still feel it, the pride and glory -- it's all melted any bitterness of not making finals. Which is bad in light of Dad Vails -- doesn't give me as strong an impetus. I think I'll get it back as soon as I see Amherst on the water, though.

Today was our last practice on the Charles. So long to an era of crewbitchery. What'll I do without it?
We're sharing a trailer with BC, so we don't even get our own big trailer space to lay our stuff out in. We have our tent, of course, but it's a different feeling.

Today, I had a mini-assmar attack with 30 seconds left in our 8-minute piece. Really, I'd been wheezing for about five of those minutes, but it was the inhaling of the spit that did me in. Started coughing and Ellen called us off immediately. Ugh. It won't happen at the race -- it happens when I'm tired, and I'm going to sleep SO MUCH tonight. And tomorrow. And the next night.

I'ma make another post when I've emailed in the IS. Just so y'all know.

is, school, apartment, assmar, crew
