i really want a back rub

I've had this devious plan since mid-December to make patterns in my LJ archive by not making an entry every certain number of days. However, today I want to make an entry. The X is ruined. Heavens. I will still have a diagonal line, though, as long as I don't speak tomorrow. Not hard 'cause I go crew, home, gather everything, then out to theater, break (durin' which I think I'll do the lift), stats, and TCFI recording until Hell freezes over. You guys aren't going to see me at all this weekend, btw. Next weekend, we celebrate. Celebrate what, I don't know, but we celebrate.

Crew was hell. 10' at goal 2k + 5 turned into goal 2k + about 10, getting worse each time. the first three "organized" workouts all have been/will be intense! We need some steady state some time... not to mention time to REST. On the plus side, I'm consistently 132 now. Two more to go! Then another one or two for good measure and a little wiggle room.

after the workout: a nap in Shaps and time with friends and wife and coffee.... a book sale, at which I got an old edition of the stats book for four bucks (as compared to $113 at the bookstore), and a copy of Princess Bride, to boot... lunch (keyword: hermaphrodite)... registrar, where I found out what forms i need to get credit for phonology in Dublin.... and then the library. We spent maybe three hours there and I looked through about 30 books. I'm so excited.
the best part is that I get to keep them ALL SEMESTER.
yes, I've heard this policy happened at the start of the schoolyear, but I never went there last semester so it doesn't count for me.
I'm also exhausted. Who knew that skimming books for an evening could take so much out of you? Physically, the workout killed me, and mentally the reading did me in, so I feel sorta useless for the rest of the evening. And I know it's dinner time, but I had a whole bottle of Odwalla Super Protein at 6 so I don't feel hungry, and it's hard to eat when one is in this variety of unhungry mood. Nomi, don't tell me I'm anorexic. I had a good lunch, and I did get in 18g of protein in that one bottle.
ETA, 11:15pm: I sauteed chicken, mushrooms and onions for dinner, and also had salad and cake. and it was tasty. Pah!

in fun news, Dave asked me to be a small worlds project target for his USEM. Hee. Also, I have a ticket to see Carter next week. As I once said: "It'll be something to tell the grandkids."

remind me that "IS" is my tag for independent study. and I don't mean remind me in person or by email or in comments; I mean that by expressing my desire to be reminded, I'll serve to remind myself.
