the worst part about this boredom is that it's not even so different from what I'm used to during the year. Then, it was just that I had something I could have been doing. Now, I'd feel bad starting working on my essay already when I have half of the length on paper already cause of that stupid draft she required! That and I don't have the paper back, so really, I, um, "shouldn't" work on it till I have her feedback on what I need to change in the first half, let alone the second. So there.
hmmmmmm...... first day of crew lifting today! That was kinda fun. And now my thighs are kinda sore, and I need to be like, not tired at all for what I'm gonna go do. Sprint (we assume) erg practice with varsity. AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! HOLY SHIT!!!!!
okay, with that outburst done... needless to say, the novices are all very scared. We are headed towards Death by Erging.
edit:
and it was a 2k test. indeed Death by Erging. But I took 2 seconds off my split, which of course makes four seconds faster overall... which doesn't seem like a lot, but trust me, it is. Aviva is wonderful... I started getting really excruciating cramps after the 2k, and she walked down to the track (where everyone else was doing half an hour steady state) with me and found me ibuprofen. 'Course, as soon as she'd found it for me, the endorphins kicked in and the cramps went away. but still, I appreciate her so much for it. :)
Matt, the varsity coach, apart from being hot (and engaged), would make a wonderful motivational speaker. He told us all (more of that preaching to the choir stuff that I always get when I show up, no matter what it is I do) about how disappointed he was with the people who hadn't shown up, and that anyone can row. There's no body type for it. Which is really a cool part (aside from the fact that rowing ROCKS hardcore... and that it *is* hardcore, which is cool) about the sport.
I'm going to Emily's house tomorrow night! Woohoo!
Talked to Emma for hours on the phone today. It was so good. I get to go get their Christmas tree and decorate it with them!!! It makes me feel really special, because not even David gets to. ;)
Alli's packing up tonight, and leaving tomorrow. Back Monday for a test, but her stuff's going tomorrow. Or at least is supposed to. It'll be so empty without her here... wow.
A week till home... half an hour more and it'll be six days. Bouncing till then.
