so is anyone free during the middle of the day today? I am addicted to farmers' markets, and since I'll be racing in NH tomorrow I can't go to the one in Waltham. This means one of two things:
1) someone with a car COULD drive me to one that goes on from 10-2 today (I can give exact directions from Brandeis) or
2) I give cash and a shopping list to someone who will be going to the market tomorrow.
I love supporting the local growers and would hate to have to give in to Hannaford before it's necessary.
ETA: Found a ride.
Re-ETA: Don't bother. It's teeny and more expensive. However,
hill_the_khore and I did also get to Stop & Shop and CVS. So many markety things were left ungotten, though, that I'm still looking for someone who's going to tomorrow's market.
Also, I have a buy one dinner/get one free coupon from Little India that expires on Sunday. Anybody anybody? Tonight, tomorrow, early Sunday (before TCFI at 6:30)?
ETA: we could totally get a big group together to go out, even if we only have the one coupon. Also, I have some challah that needs to be eaten up. Sunday brunch of challah french toast, anyone? I have the snazziest maple syrup ever to go with it.
Ugh. The new blister SUCKS. Rachael wondered if we'll be able to make weight for the Fish; max is 135. Corke is right there and I'm 135-137. Two pounds in two weeks is no sweat offa my back. The row was blah. We were in an 8, complete with rush and bad footstretchers. But I did get to help Sarah carry her single, and made home fries when I got back. Now, a shower. Maybe a quick nap first? I need to waterproof this blister. On the plus side: minus tomorrow's race, hell week is over. Next week is easier, sez Ellen.
So, I was awoken at 1:30am by the neighbors taking the subwoofer out for a walk. I pounded on the wall until they quieted down. I should go talk to them today and explain that I know it sucks, but I go to sleep really early.
I saw a skunk on the walk to Sarah's, and on the way to the boathouse we saw some guy (on foot) with his dog (on a leash) talking to a cop in the car with lights flashing. I think I saw a bottle in the guy's hand, which would be why he was "pulled over". Then at the boathouse, I saw a gorgeous shooting star. Friday the 13th can't be all bad.
('course, I've just jinxed it to be by saying so.)
