to school, to school
I don't have the dedication or commitment for a full recap, so:
moved Zach into Tufts today. met Omar. His family is American, but lives in Saudi Arabia. He's been in boarding school in London for the past four years. The boys are coming over the day before Zach's birthday (which happens to be the third Thursday of the month, my arbitrarily-chosen date) for their first monthly dinner. Mom and Dad both got teary at the goodbye.
Found that the only books I'll need to purchase this year are a third of the Adolescent Lit reading list and one French dictionary. That is very exciting. At the bookstore I ran into ergood, which was also very, very exciting!
Got back to the apartment, sanza the family. Love 'em, but it's good to be in the quiet. And then I hung with zapf, ladynomi, shala, tovaks and slythwitch for a while, which was great times. After THAT, I ordered a desk from Staples (it should arrive next Thursday) and then PLANE TICKETS TO SEATTLE IN NOVEMBER. I'm going to see Clay the first weekend of November!! (Anyone in the general Tacoma-Seattle area, that would be a good time to hang out.) I know we're going to Vancouver for the weekend, I think, and if so I'm for SURE hanging with Lauren. Oh, making plans is fantastic.
And then I got to go to a crew meeting! we set some goals and heard some scary thoughts. First 6k is the 14th. First race is October 1. It was amazingly lovely to see all my crew kids again, though. Everyone keeps telling me I look good. I think it's gotta be the hair.
Now? I'm going to CVS with the flatmates and after that it's bedtime. Class starts at 9 tomorrow! I'm stoked, to tell the truth.
