YAY. the FDA approved the morning-after pill for non-prescription use!
yesterday we went shopping for a good seven or eight hours. Zach's room will be fully stocked, and I found a desk I really liked that I've got to order from Staples, a chair from Costco, sheets, an awesome fuzzy purple pillow... we got a drape for my window... tons of other things. I put up all of my posters last night, too. Already feels like home. I love the place, love myv roommates. Pictures forthcoming, before and after -- for serious, this time. Just not for a couple days, as I don't have the camera connector cable with me up here.
I woke up to a thunderclap at 6 this morning. Then I went back to sleep instead of working out -- ooooops. I need to get on that. Still, the thunder was pretty cool, even if it did mean rain for the rest of the time we were in Mass. By the time we got driving, though, the rain let up for most of the way, even ceding to sun for most of Maine.
So we're in Maine now, at the Samoset "resort." Our timeshare is in the middle of a snobby-arse resort, complete with a restaurant that "requests" that men wear jackets (though men wearing denim shorts and t-shirts hae been admitted, and I don't know about these plastic-container doggy bags). The lobby even has wireless access. However, I forgot a lot of things for the weekend (sneakers for working out, a brush, blah blah)... but was able to find a pair of sneakers at the Goodwill next to the grocery store where we stocked up on four days' worth of food. I'm going back to the store tomorrow to get tea, socks, and vodka to pair with my V8.
my ipod is sick. He froze in the middle of a song, so I reset him and now when I try to turn him on I get a display that shows an iPod with a frowny face and a website.
