tonight: happy hour for "ivy plus." trying to convince dad (columbia alum that he is) to come with, as going alone would be scary. esp. since susan hasn't answered my emails asking if she's coming. if she were there, it would all be sunshine agus roses.
I haven't had a chance to check, but here's a wild guess I came up with this morning on the etymology of the Irish girl's name Fionnuala.
fionn = bright.
nua = new
lá = day
fionnuala = bright new day??
problem is, it can't be that simple. it's Irish, for bleeding out loud.
yeah, i was wrong. But I did get the "fionn" part right.
