we are the party generation

if I were to host a midsummer's party, who-all would come?

how about next weekend? Friday evening the 23rd would be peachy for me. two days after solstice -- not bad.

I could find some summery drinks, I'll make baba ghannouj and crepes (both of which I successfully made today) and whatever else we want. Perhaps a strawberry-rhubarb-champagne soup whose recipe I found in 5280. (fascinating, no?)
and everyone else can bring food and stuff, too.

anybody in?

tonight: father's day dinner, complete with REEEALLY expensive steak.

today: the boys went sailing while the girls plus Lynda and Dan went downtown to the Piazza dell'Arte, an exhibition of chalk drawings on the road by Writer Square. The artwork was amazing.

last night: me, mom, dad and clay saw An Inconvenient Truth. Compelling. Guilt-wracking. There is no way that my next car will not be a hybrid. And if I make it big in the field early on, I'm just importing a Smart Car from Italy.

and yesterday day: Cherry Blossom Festival with jupiter_star, as well as a running-into with aredhel_72. Quite the blast, minus waiting an hour for lunch and watching three tables who were seated long after us be served before we were. Don't know what their problem was, but Sabrina's mom refused to pay. And then we got free samples of the new coffee Coke. It's disgusting. I still haven't drunk more than that first sip of mine, and no one else in my family wants to touch it, either.

movies, family, to do, party
