tim burton is directing sweeney depp?
Can he sing? Having done Scissorhands, he can probably pull off the creepy.... but not as, hmm, voraciously as Cerveris, George Hearn, Len Cariou. He'll be psycho, but not scary. I don't think he's hearty enough to get all the way behind Todd's crazy -- though, then, he gives the potential for a new take on Todd: one less gruesome and carnageous (that's totally a word... now), more introspective and calculating. I wonder who'll be cast as Mrs. Lovett.
on second thought... and here's an oddness... suddenly I could picture Johnny Depp doing the voracious crazy, but only when I used scyfygy as my template.

the doctor says I should see my dentist about getting a bite guard for my TMJ (now spreading to tenseness in my neck). I also need him to check out a cavity I've had since before I left in January. (I'm kinda proud that I was able to keep it clean and unbothersome for a whole semester.)
My new toothpaste is not only purple, it's "Paradise Fresh" scented. What an amusement. It also claims to repair my enamel -- the only part of the body, incidentally, that does not repair or regenerate itself.
next music purchase is definitely "Get Away From Me" by Nellie McKay.
