mm.
This morning (starting with 12am as morning -- normally it starts when I wake up after sunrise, but this time, it's just starting after midnight) was a voyage to Reminiscence Avenue.
First, Rocky. I recognized exactly four of the cast members (which is sad; I would've liked to see more)... but included were Chewy (object of flirtation with... anything that moves), who's gained weight, grown a ponytail, and is definitely no longer fit to play Rocky; and Sara, who has a loud voice and somehow reminds me of
full4zaccordion. Also, I saw Doug from HS for the first time since his senior/my junior year, and he's gotten cute (in a Dougy way).
So,
wolfe_guardian and I dressed up, and it was the gothiest I've ever been, and it was hawt. Observe.
this is me making a gothy face (or at least trying to convey "I don't care if the world stops turning, I'll always be miserable"). I'm not very good at it, I don't think. But the makeup was fun to put on. I also tried putting it on Evan, and FAILED.
The entire ensemble. Of note: 5-inch heels. Purple fishnets. Tanktop with a fake lace-up closing. The nails on one hand are black (the polish ran out after that and I think it's kinda funny). And the makeup!
This is my eighth-grade boyfriend adjusting his boobies-of-socks. Isn't he hot?
And here we are in the mirror! Incidentally, I really like this picture of myself. I may use it around.
This morning was Lakewood on Parade. No pictures from that are up yet, but I ran into Andreeeeaaaaaaa! (which is what I called her in the hallways all through high school.) I've been wondering about her all summer. I was so happy to see her. We exchanged contact info and it'll be great. Also, more time with Evan, and like 50,000 hugs before I went. Then on the drive back, I swear I saw Steve Ball, who I went to first-or-second through sixth grade with, on a bike.
/memory lane.
Dad and I went to Starbucks. The drive-thru line was huge, so we parked and went in. There was one other customer at the counter. We were out with our drinks before the guy who'd pulled in to the drive-thru at the same time we parked had even placed his order.
In other news, I HATE Colorado drivers. The cool thing this summer seems to be to see how many cars can get through a light that's already turned red, just tacked onto the tail of the car in front. I guess they're thinking, "Oh, the light's on a delay, so I can just sneak in before the other side turns green." Except that so many people do it, it's turned green for the other side for a matter of seconds before the follow-the-leader trail is done. I'm a little too tired (or not tired enough) to go on a full-fledged rant about this, but it's REALLY, REALLY ANNOYING.
I better get going before the thunder starts. Today I get to hang out with the CAC kids, go swimming (if it doesn't thunder first), and a jam session in hippie dresses and with drums and great stuff.
