the justice at once gets chocolate and my invitation to bite my left nut.
they did tell the story of how two of our varsity women's boats won at mass maritime on sunday,
BUT
(and more importantly)
they soooo fucked up the jdoff article... the beginning, at least. the HEADLINE reads: "World-renown linguist to leave Brandeis for Tufts"
and I'm sorry, but if it has a hyphen, it is world-renownED, and if it doesn't have an ED it's "of world renown" and does NOT have a hyphen. Dash. Whatever the hell it is.
-second, they keep saying that no one is returning to teach next semester, when Henrietta Hung is (well, returning from last schoolyear, not this one).
the Justice did seem to mourn the loss of (basically) the ling department, and hopes that it will not die. When I grow up, I'm going to give my money ONLY to ling and crew. I pledge it right now.
all my sympathies to Alli, who lost her computer in a deadly crash of hard drive recently. I love you and I know you'll be okay and stuff! If you want to come sob about it here, that's cool too. MMMMMMMWAH.
rowing tonight: I rowed my freaking calluses off. They blistered underneath the callus and came loose. They're not supposed to do that! It's sad and painful. And not a happy thing the week of my last race!
in the happy, I looked through the box from my neighbor Terry's care package, and found the forms for Arcadia safe and stowed, PLUS two little bags of sunflower seeds! yaaaaaaay!
tomorrow morning I'm coxing. it may be the varsity boys, which will be scary in a bowloader on the Charles. but Rachael played me a recording of Pete Cipollone (who won the '04 Olympics coxing the USA men's eight) coxing Head of the Charles in 97, when they broke the course record, and it was awesome.
now I need to go to sleep for the coxing.
the scroll part of my keyboard mouse pad decided not to work. the rest of it does, but not the scroll bar. It is very sad. :( someone fix it!
