no pain, no gain

so today we had a huge football game. East side vs. West side. 13 guys on 13 guys, all out tackle football. basically the most intense football game ive ever played. East side (my team) won convincingly with a score of 49-21. but it cost alot of us. everyone out there was bleeding in at least one place. i tackled guy, head on...no literally, head on...and we both just fell to the floor. i blacked out for about 2-3 seconds and saw everyone rushing to us, and yelling "ok, game over." i then looked over and saw the guy i hit. huge cut across his forehead, just over his left eyebrow, and slanting up to his hairline. it was even swelling, and you could basically see his skull. i got really freakin scared and hoped my head didnt look like that. thankfully it didnt, just a small cut about the length of a quarter. my suitemate jason took him to the hospital, and as i walked back to my dorm, everything was kinda blurry, and i felt dizzy...almost drunk. my head throbbed and throbbed and i started to get extremely sleepy. at that point i knew...and kris told me...that those are signs of a concussion. so Pat, my roomate, took me to the hospital, they just cleaned up the cut, and told me ill be in a sort of "drunken" state for about a week. so theres my story. two weeks into college and i got knocked out. but at least thats all that happened to me. the other guy (which was surprisingly substantially larger than me) left the hospital with 9 stitches. crazy shit.
