All right, then. I woke up a few days ago--no, I definitely wasn't born, I'm no infant and I'm quite sure no one but a golem ever sprang to life fully-grown and walking about--and my memories are gone.

It's just a name that came to mind, and not a bad one. Some of the names here surprise me; they sound more like something you'd call a pet.

I'm not so sure. Perhaps others may not agree, but I see them as not only to distinguish, but also with personal meaning. Names can serve as personal remainders and mean much more than just the word they are. In a way, they become a metaphor in an of themselves to encompass what a person is.

Nothing encompasses a person except that person, but names try to do that. But there are other things that work just as well.
Eh? I mean humans. As opposed to dwarfs, trolls and the like.

Why wouldn't they exist? They're as common as muck. I'd be surprised I haven't seen more of them since I arrived here if I didn't know neither species is all that fond of trees.
