All right, then. I woke up a few days ago--no, I definitely wasn't born, I'm no infant and I'm quite sure no one but a golem ever sprang to life fully-grown and walking about--and my memories are gone.

My first question would be: Who bloody took them, but I'm sure anyone with the ability and inclination to go around stealing people's memories

All I know is I got a good look at it in my dream, and since that's the first thing I can remember, it seemed a good place to start looking. I didn't get here by running. There's always a trail to follow.

Some fellow gave it to me after nearly getting shot by a man with a strange crossbow. I know it was mine, that's all. You've seen one like it before?

I would too. But I haven't actually got it--I saw it in a memory, and it was most certainly attached to a copper's breastplate.
