This weekend at home was good (I know, can you say wuss?). Actually it was slightly strange; my room didn't feel like it was mine. I felt like I was staying in a guest room.
So, weird thing out here at Cedarville: profs are on facebook (well, some). Actually my grammar prof (oh, boy is he cute for 40) said that last fall his students informed him that he had an account on facebook and he didn't even know what it was. Apparently, they nabbed his email and created an account for him, but he has since taken over. My two fave profs are both on facebook, so I added them, and both of them have recognized and talked to me after adding me. Needless to say I was surprised because they both have a zillion friends. (My eighty year old Lit teacher has five hundred something friends here at Cedarville.) Then something occurred to me today in class. Maybe they remember me because my facebook is... slightly memorable? So I definitely have to clean up the questionable parts today, although I think the damage is done. Ah well.
Talked to the Travel Study lady yesterday about studying abroad in Ireland. Random I know, but I really want to go. It's funny because although Cedarville is not very racially diverse, I have more racially diverse friends here than at ICC (actually I only had like 7 friends at ICC, not counting the RB kids. Ok, well maybe I had a few more than that:). I think I have finally mastered their names: Ji-Seon is Korean and Xiaoying is Chinese, plus my my plethora of psycho little Hispanic cherubs at Westlake Elementary.
Today I go back to tutor the psycho Hispanic kids 'til 6, eat a quick dinner, and then cram 'til midnight for two major tests tomorrow. Cedarville is a little more - shall I say, academically challenging - than ICC? I've had four quizzes in various classes so far, and I've gotten a 90, 65, 50, and a 70. Yeah, ouch. But it's ok, I'm a limo driver :)
Things with the roomie and unit mates are going super (watch me jinx myself). Rachel called me weird yesterday. But she's mistaken; I had a huge decision to make: soft ice cream or hard ice cream. I ended up going with soft, even though they had choc chip cookie dough in hard, because last time I hurt my wrist scooping hard ice cream. They have this running joke at Chuck's (cafeteria): What's harder than a diamond? Chuck's Ice Cream!
I'm getting sick though, I think I'm going to take a power nap.
