We really do have a Charlie Brown Christmas tree this year! First of all, the trunk was too big for the stand, so Mom broke out the chainsaw in the living room and cut it down to size. Then it was too small, so we had to stick a little piece of wood in the stand so the screws could support the tree right. Next the tree started to lean...a lot! So we propped it up with a concrete block. And finally, the bottom branches were too low, so mom tied them up with string. She's threatening a fake Christmas tree next year, but then again, she always does that.
After all that work, Kaleb and I went on a housewide chocolate raid and discovered a bag of chocolate chips in Mom's baking stash in her room (she has to hide them from dad:) So we started munching on them and soon dad and Zach were eating them too. So I said to Kaleb, "Who needs cookies? Let's leave Santa a bag of chocolate chips!" To which my mom rolled her eyes and replied, "Yeah right, Santa needs a bag of chocolate chips like a hole in the head!"
