Split Shifts

Aug 30, 2004 16:00

If any of you have ever worked a split shift, then you'll know how badly they suck, and how tired I will be tommorow.

I just got some good news though. I have been told that I have to stay home for a full week in September (3rd till 11th) to look after Olivia, as she starts school on the 6th. This means no money from work, but to cover this, my parents have offered to pay me to be @ home. About £70, which is really nice of them.

I also found out that because Papa has seen an ability in me to look after my finances, he will be increasing my univeristy allowance from £35 to £50. Ideal!

The gig @ the Ross Festival went really well yesterday. I thoroughly enjoyed it to be honest. Maybe it's because we all played really well, but many factors came together. My parents were at the gig, which meant alot to me, and I relaxed and played without one single mistake, which is soo cool. Another factor, is that we were without Alex, which sounds weird, you'd think that would make it bad, but recently, Al had been giving out some negative vibes, where as yesterday, we were all up for it and positive. The set was fun, and Papa said he thinks I'm amazing!

Always nice to get praise from your parents. It's only a few weeks now until I move back down to the south coast, though not this time to Exmouth with all it's issues. I have changed campuses, to the main one in Plymouth, which will be amazing I hope. Indeed.

I will keep you all updated with news. Until then, adieu.
