night out with the girls
Went out last night with Dan and his boyfriend Nick. Sweet kids... so nice of them to invite me along. We headed to The Escape and were inside by 11:00 after a lot of trouble with parking (fuckin' meter ate our $4 in change~!) I don't want to be like the LO girls who just come by to do coke in the bathroom and dance with guys who'll tell them they look pretty, so usually I go with another girl so I have someone to dance with. Yeah, so I fake alternative sexualities on my Saturday nights.. don't you?
Even without backup, it was good times. Jinx showed up and took away my dance partner; I had one pretty scary guy following me around all night; I found the only straight guy in the place (well, bi; he showed up with hickeys from some Mexican guy) --
speaking of which, overhead conversation in a group of LO-types:
"Straight Guy, I'd like you to meet Straight Guy." --
and, in a raving testimonial to LiveJournal, the nicest girl I danced with all night was wearing an "I Heart My LJ" button. Whadda sweetheart that girl was. Only person I've ever known to actually ask if I wanted to dance. Screw the gay boys; lesbians are the real gentlemen!
Nearly got caught sneaking in (thanks mom, way to have insomnia) but luckily bullshitted my way out of that one. I doubt that my dad would really care about what I'd been doing, but I sure as hell wouldn't ever tell them. I guess I want to believe that if it ever came down to it I could fool my parents.
Anyway, I'm dead bored now, so I'm going to go do situps in front of the tv. exciting~!
