life update
oh man, today is one of those days i'm proud to stand as an american, as a masshole, as a little leftist girl amid the 2nd largest gay population in the country. and damn, i wish i had been able to go downtown today and witness all the amazingly inspiring hubub. but sadly, i was in the middle of taking a calculus test.
but to do a quick life update.
friday i left for the regatta. a 5 hour car ride with andrea, jlent and jessie. it went by far faster than i thought. jessie andrea and i talked about stuff for almost an hour, and it was just so relaxing and nice. i guess it wasn't so much the race that was cool, but the time together with the varsity girls. it still amazes me how un-sports like crew is. running around the raddison, huge water fights in teh pool with all the girls, forming team melon for future games of strip spoons, placing bets on who would win the top 100 sexiest musical artists. it was just fun. plus, i thought it was utterly amazing that BOTH girls boats placed 5th in the northeast. merely 3 away from nationals. i'm proud of this team. proud of the friendships, and the almost medals, and the moments when we get reba to break down and laugh. its changed me.
saturday was gone due to the regatta. and sunday was just a tired blur and my gammy's birthday. and i surely can't remember the days before that.
as a matter of fact, i don't remember weekdays at all anymore. they are just straggling by as slowly and as boringly as humanly possible. this is only made worse by endless senior comments on slacking and "only a week left", which keeps putting me in this mentaliy that I only have a week left. THIS IS NOT GOOD. i have 28 days left. and i'm not doing any work.
the only good point i see is that mr brill will soon learn that we DON"T have enough time to finish all the projects he wants to do. that and this thursday, we get yearbooks. call me a loser, but there aren't many things that i love quite as much as the prospect of swapping and signing copious amounts of trashy yearbooks. but other than that, i just want for it to be summer so badly.
