home!
I am home for the weekend (for greek easter)!!!! my bed is soooo comfortable! I always seem to underestimate how much I miss the comfort of my bed.
tonight we (Emily and I.... and kinda Ben) made Claire a scavenger hunt for her bday. it had rhyming poems for each clue and we drove around to different places to give her some presents. her bday was a few weeks ago, but this was the first time all of us could celebrate. It was a lot of fun, and she really enjoyed it, so that was cool.
In bad news today... I got the letter in my mailbox about whether or not I got an individual interview to be peer advisor... which I don't remember if I've mentioned and i'm too lazy to go back and look.... but i went to the group interview on tuesday and then today we found out from that who gets the individual interviews and then after that people would find if they get to be a peer advisor... but anyway, my point was that today i got that letter and it said I didn't get the interview. My friend/future roommate got one though. So I was happy for her, but also dissapointed I didn't get it. It didn't really hit me though until other things started to go wrong... like it turns out that 411 gave me the number for super cab instead of super shuttle, so a cab came to get me to take me to the airport and it ended up costing about $95 when it normally is about $45 with the shuttle!!! so I was upset about that, and that's when it hit me that I'm not going to get to be a peer advisor. I'm going to try to still help out with orientation because that will be fun, plus it gives me a better chance to get peer advisor the next year if I'm still at CLU.
So overall today has been good and bad. I'm happy to be home and in my comfy bed. I'm supposed to wake up really early tomorrow to write my essay that I've been putting off for about a month now... but I think I will just get sleep tonight and then stay up late writing it!!! I'm also going tomorrow to see my friend Leah sing at this thing in town. she's my friend who I know through our grandparents and I haven't realy had the chance to talk to her since like freshman year of highschool... so basicaly I haven't talked to her in like 4 years. I saw her in urinetown recently, but i didn't really get to talk to her, so it will be good to catch up, when we go out to lunch with our moms. so tomorrow's going to be busy, and technically it's already begun! time to sleep!
