I never thought I would be content to hear that I failed my EMT exam. But at the moment, I am. I got a 68, and needed a 70. It'll be tough to study for all over again, but hopefully I've absorbed most of it. I've been sucking up information like a sponge lately, and been enjoying it. I look at re-taking it as just an opportunity to learn more, and with so much going on, I'm less desperate to get the EMT right away.. but I do enjoying learning as much as I can.
In more positive news, I passed my CCT exam and my Phlebotomy exam with a 92. Which is pretty decent considering before yesterday I didn't even know what phlebotomy was. I also stuck a needle in someone today and drew their blood, and got it on the first try. I'm feeling really good. Also knowing you worked approx. 32 hrs. x 13.50 an hour is definitely an upper.
Never been so stereotypically happy for it to be the weekend. I'm happy to know that I have some goals for the future that don't seem too distant or unrealistic at the moment. I'm going to take English 101 this semester and Anatomy and Physiology 1 (challenging the pre-requisite with my EMT-B training). If I take English 101, and Anatomy and Physiology 1 and 2 I'll have the pre-requisites that I'll need for Robert Wood's paramedic program for the future. And this money I'm making I'm saving up for another something that makes my dreams about the future happy ones..
Anyway, leaving in a few to go see Get Smart with mom, Aunt Leah, and Patricia.
