This is probably not the best time to update, but oh well. Yesterday, Kendall came over around 3:30 (I was finally getting dressed at this point). We slothed around a bit, discovered with joy and irritance that Big Fish on tv, and looked at pictures. I gave Kendall music, then we had to rush since we both had sudden commitments. She had an awkward babysitting encounter to come, and I had a Point Pleasant boardwalk to go to!
I ran around searching for dimes and quarters throughout my house, then Corey picked me up around 6? I can't really remember. We went to Pizza Co, I shook Jack Lupton's hand - he looks no different - then speed ate and talked about Boston. Back in the car, we had a nice drive down Route 18 to Point Pleasant. Driving with music and the windows down is SO preferable to air conditioning, given you are driving fast enough. Which we were. Anyway, it was a nice drive there (and back in the dark!).
Whence at the boardwalk, we had a super fun time! We played mini golf first, only 5 bucks a pop. (Parking the car costs the same amount as both of us playing.) I didn't lose too badly, but I did endure a tragic fall that is something you'd expect to see the dorky boy do on a first date in a teen romance movie. On one side was the ocean, and on the other was a really pretty sunset. Afterwards, we went on the ... Super Himalaya!. Fun ride. I was attracting little chilren all night. Then we walked along the board itself, played a game - I won a Raisinet pillow! - and got lemonade and funnel cake. Took pictures in a photo booth and played Skeeball. A whole slew of classic fun things :)
Today I slept until one in the freaking afternoon, it was so late. My family and I wound up leaving to go to the Spring Lake beach around 4. We watched the car thermometer drop 18 degrees between pulling out of the driveway and arriving at the beach. Along with the breeze, it was surprisingly cold! But it was nice, Paul tucked me in so that I was part of a Fair Haven towel sandwich. During dinner at home, my dad had me take part in a "can't show your teeth" contest rather than a staring contest. After dinner, I went to Doug's house to celebrate his 19th birthday! That was a hot and irritated adventure :) But oh well, no big deal. Oh, and we all debated my eye color. The general concensus was a couple moments of consideration, then an unsure green. Gosh.
I've only been up 12 hours! And I've forgotten how to do a cut in my old age. Sorrs!
Kendall loves spontaneous pictures.
Goodies.
Cookie batter is DELICIOUS. Until you have too much.
Moments before the fall.
Eee!
Upset about going on the Himalaya.
Star of the night!
