Exams

You know those moments in exams when you can't help but laugh or cringe?

The moment when someone's table collapses. The moment when someone trips over the leg of another persons table and falls taking the table with them. The person who is stretching and the massive cracking noises coming from their back followed by the words 'whoa... that wasn't good'.

Well last week in the University Hall for Semester Final Exams, everything was running really smoothly. Just so you can picture it, there's 500 people in this hall, and you have to walk down the aisle your desk is in and around and back up a main aisle as to exit the hall.

One of the students about 20 rows infront of me got up to go to the toilet and obviously this break gave him total mental clarity... that question he couldn't work out must have suddenly provided itself an answer. The reason most of us in the hall gathered that was that on his walk back to his desk, he's entered the back of the hall with the old lady who was escorting him, and suddenly he just sprang to life, the light had just flicked on and like that he was off, he just started running down the main aisle, slid around the corner and ran full-tilt up the aisle to his table and then frantically started writing in his paper.

Quite a few of us saw this and there was this muffled laughter but someone couldn't keep it in and let the laughter out. The dam had broken, for a good minute there were 400 confused faces as about 100 of us laughed at how halarious this little asian guy in glasses rocketed back to his seat and did his best Risky Business impersonation in sliding on the floor to try and corner so he could get back to his desk as quick as possible.

How did everyone go in the exam? nobody cared, we were too busy talking about this guy in the bar.
