Team B, you trolls.
I was so good last week, I kept myself from watching episode 2. But I was unable to avoid previews for episode 3 which involved what looked like a physical confrontation among B Team, so I got curious enough.

They're YG Family, all right. Just a bunch of trainees and already they're frikkin' trolls! I can't believe I fell for it! /turtle rolls on to back and kicks feet
Team A isn't as cohesive as Team B. B Team shows more potential harmonizing. I think it might be BI's influence, because he's been leader longer and has control of his group more. Minho's still finding his legs. Zico gave good advice. It's nice of him to drum support for Minho and even appear on the show.
Kinda disappointed that Bobby's english is Yoochun-level. lol okay, maybe that's a little too harsh, maybe I just need to hear more, so I'll withhold judgment for now.
The songs... were not so good for both teams. B Team looked like they had more fun because the song sounded more fun, but Team B killed the dance portion. Can't get those scenes of BI bossing Yun Hyeong around out of my mind during that portion of the dance. "Move your hands here a little bit more!", "Again.", "Hyung, what are you doing!?!" And then I can hear Kang Seung Yoon's voice in the background saying, "He's someone who constantly hurts my pride." I was very glad to see Yun Hyeong moving his hands accordingly. XD
AAAAAAH TABLO YOU TRAITOR! Can't believe he said A Team was better and then voted for B Team in the official evaluation ahahahaha. I think Lee Hi voted for A Team because of Kang Seung Yoon and Lee Seunghoon, though? Little cutie. Most of the time I forget she's not the YG maknae anymore.
Ugh, but that was harsh. Getting judged by their seniors... I feel like A Team is constantly trying not to cry. They always look like they're trying to hold tears back whenever they're getting evaluated, I feel so bad for them. A Team has that kicked puppy look, augh. And I really really hate how this is messing with Kang Seung Yoon's confidence and mental state. Survival program winner -> already got a taste of celebrity -> go back to being a trainee -> who is a dance idiot -> watching perfect prince BI -> going through another survival program -> but debuts as a single artist at the same time -> rubbing elbows with fellow artists -> and being treated like one -> while still being subjected to criticisms and evaluations as a trainee, and all the humiliation that comes with it. No wonder he got sick! I'm surprised he's not sick more.
I hate this show! (╯°□°）╯︵ ┻━┻ I cycle through happiness, pity, admiration and sadness in less than a minute. Whoever does the editing is an evil evil person. The contrast of B Team's fun holiday versus A Team's kicked puppy and overworked practicing was torture. And then they come home to a feast! *a choir of angels sing from the heavens* Well played, MNET (and YG), well played.
Watching also makes me so hungry because they always have such good eats! *salivates*
Team A needs to choose songs that would showcase Nam Taehyun's voice better. He's supposed to be main vocal but Kang Seungyoon always sings better than him. KSY can belt out high notes and still sound strong while NTH gets squeaky and strained.
Both teams aren't going to be embarrassed to go against Big Bang in rapping, and they're already leagues better in dancing, but there's no outstanding vocal that could compare to Daesung. B Team especially. They have great rappers and really great dancers, but no Daesung-level vocalist. Nam Taehyun sounds really good when he's singing soft love songs, but he has a range limit. Kang Seungyoon is great and can belt out high notes and still sound strong, but he lacks that extra something. He's like Seven-level when I'm expecting Gummy or Bom or Daesung.
Luckily, they have no 'ugly one', like Daesung (and Minzy, for her resemblance to Daesung, plus CL with her eyes and refusal to get plastic surgery) are jokingly referred to. All trainees are at least Taeyang-level passable, YMMV, even if Goo Junhwi looks perpetually angry. Song Yun Hyeong sometimes reminds me of Dongwoon from B2ST - really cute, but sometimes looks quite handsome. Song Minho is a GD lookalike, but he's an improved version. Kim Jinwoo cleans up good, and so does Bobby when he quits clowning around. But there's no one outstanding enough to deserve to be The Face, let alone TOP-level. TOP has a face that could compete with actors, not just idols. /is totally not biased
Next week I'll definitely be tuning in because I want to see the faceoff against the JYP trainees. lol @ that preview of the trainees waiting on the sidewalk for YG's car and then YG walking with them. I half-expected Hip Hop Gentlemen or Famillienium to start playing in the background.
Ugh. Someone help me, I'm already too invested in both teams! Also can't wait for the footage from GD's concert, woohoo~
