I don't remember where I first heard this song, but I finally got a copy yesterday and have been listening to it incessantly. It was my theme song for chapters 13-15 of Lead & Follow.

A friend of mine got me addicted to this one a while back. It provides great atmosphere for writing angst. Plus, it's pretty.

I liked this song when I first got the cd, but it's been back with a vengeance in my head (and my playlist!) over the past few days. I like the reflective longing of it.

This song makes me want to dance. For real. I loved it when it was on my favorite alt radio station in my previous town, and I finally bought it on itunes a few weeks ago. It's that fun.
5. Rain - Patty Griffin

As I've said before, this song was my way in to Patty's music. It's absolutely gorgeous and atmospheric in the best way. I've been listening to it again lately, because I finally got around to putting it on my ipod.
