[This is really more perplexing than anything. He stares down at the girl like she's completely alien, partly because she is.

Girls just don't cling to him like this.]

Who are you? [And why does she know his name?]

[She laughs at that, like he just told the funniest joke. Oh Shizuo.]

You know me. I'm Tomie.

I'm your girlfriend.

[Okay, his confusion just shot up about ten thousand points. Is this some kind of prank? Well, he'll give her the benefit of the doubt for now.]

You must have me mixed up with someone else. I've never met you before.

Why would you joke like that? We were together last night! [If you'll excuse her, she'll just be tightening her grip on you, thank you]

You took me to this wonder restaurant that served the most exquisite red velvet cake. We drank Chardonnay and danced all night under the stars together... You gave me the necklace I'm wearing.

[The tight grip she has on him isn't what bothers him. Honestly, he can barely feel it. It's this story she's come up with all of a sudden that does piss him off, and so he starts trying to pull away.]

That flea put you up to this, didn't he?!

[He's trying to leave her? He can't do that. She lunges herself at his chest, trying to grip onto his shirt as she cries big, watery tears.]

No! No one put me up to this! Oh Shizuo, please remember me!

I told you I've never seen you before in my life! [Shizuo doesn't not know how to deal with a woman in hysterics, and he's doing his best to pry her off of him before he ends up hurting her by accident.] That stuff you were talking about, it never happened!

[She curled herself closer to him, hiding her face and letting out what sounded like sobs.

Suddenly, the sobs dissolved into laughter and she stared up at the man with a wide grin.]

Of course he put me up to it. I could never love you.

[Having someone cry into his chest is bizarre for a number of reasons, but in the end Shizuo has to relent and simply let her.

... Until the crying turns into laughing and his chest tightens. Yeah, as if something like that could have been sincere--!

He shoves her away, though with only a fraction of his strength.] That's what I thought!

[She doesn't stop laughing, even when he shoves her away. Instead of being offended, she just flips her hair and puts a hand on her hip.] He said I should go back and tell him how you reacted, but I don't feel like it anymore. You're kind of cute. I think I'll stay here.

Why the hell were you talking to that guy, anyway? He's bad news, you know!

He was cute too. He said I was the most beautiful girl in the world and gave me this necklace. After you got out of the way, we were supposed to be together.
