The worst thing is that there was a time I actually felt sorry for you. You're a victim of corrupted mages as much as any of my kind are, and I'd foolishly hoped we could understand one another. At first I believed it was only a matter of time before you realized that not all mages are power mongering monsters with a knife perpetually hovering over their wrists, but you... you cling to your hatred.

And yet... I see that you can tolerate other mages. Even be kind to them! But you have nothing but intolerance and fear for me. I sometimes think that I understand you, but I don't. I can't create common ground with you, and I can't stop arguing with you. Not when the very thought of you has begun to disgust me. I can't stand that those I trust also trust someone like you. It's only a matter of time before you turn on us. I know it. I only wish they could all see what I do.
