Well, it's happened again. Your character has, through no fault or expectation of their own, found themselves someplace they were not a moment ago: in the foyer of a mountain chateau, lavishly decorated and equipped with several couches, chairs, and tables. Against one wall is a full bar (with nobody manning it but ingredients at easy access), with a table next to it loaded with coffee, baked goods, and several pitchers of warm fruit punch (some are labeled "yes", and smell like they've been spiked; some are labeled "no" and smell normal). Against the other is a crackling fireplace, stacked high with wood, and shaped, oddly enough, like the mouth of a fish.
Following the double-doors out reveals a field of clean, powdery snow surrounding the building, and a small shed with snow equipment - skis, sleds, snowboards, and the like. The mountain slopes down a little farther away, peppered with trees in some places and rocks in others, but despite it being a beautiful, clear winter day, it's impossible to quite make out where the slope ends. Exploration inside the building, on the other hand, reveals it to be well-stocked for the winter, and complete with a full kitchen, spacious dining room, various auxiliary rooms and corridors decorated with paintings of aquatic life, and of course quite a few guest rooms upstairs. Other than the other party-goers, though, it seems to be completely deserted.
[The usual rules apply:
- Have fun.
- Don't be lame.
- Powers are okay if you keep it reasonable and if your threadmates are okay with it.
- Contact eco_mono here or on AIM (screenname Arclooper) if you drink the "no" punch. ;)
Enjoy!]
