You always hear about the positives of Stanford. I certainly know why Stanford is as amazing as it is.
But now I'm wondering, what are the negatives of Stanford? What do you personally not like about the school? It could be anything--petty or not.
(The few that I've heard: Duck Syndrome, crazy bike people, location.)

stanford duck syndrome: honestly, wtf. people keep saying this, but it's only partly true, in the not really true sense. yes people work hard, but they're complaining about it all the time. there's none of this hiding how much work/stress we have. i have heard one student say that it actually seems like we compete to see how much work and stress we have without giving up on it all... i don't quite buy that. but it's nonsense that we hide it.
bikers: i might be one of them... i may have done wilbur to hewlett in 2.5 min once... it's all part of the fun though.
how hard it is to get off campus. granted, i can't drive nor can i afford a car, but wouldn't it be great if i could walk down the street to get boba? or if the sierras were an hour away? i guess that's the location thing though.
living arrangement: big one here. you might be familiar with the "college" system used at some other unis. here we draw into different houses each year, but dorms particularly just don't really socialize with each other. you might think a dorm complex would be a community, but soto and trancos people aren't just gonna randomly mingle even though they're right next to each other.
lack of a central student entertainment area: read: old union/student union. what was that about a bowling alley? that's what i wanna see! right now, it's just studying. there's no real place to just go have fun, you gotta go find friends. which for me is quite difficult.
good food: i don't wanna buy more clothes. and i want my current clothes to fit comfortably. damn you, good row house food!
i have other beefs too, mostly already mentioned, but they're very general and you'd find them anywhere you go.
