Kana and I have so many things we need to talk about...
Ecthelion: *comes home after another long day*
Maglor: *still sitting in the window seat, curled around a sleeping Lit and humming softly*
Ecthelion: *walks into the room and smiles* Hi baby.
Maglor: Shh. *smiles back, looking a little tired*
Ecthelion: *softly* Want me to put her into bed?
Maglor: *nods, carefully untangling from her daughter*
Ecthelion: *takes Lit, cuddling her close*
Litsewen: *snuggles against ada, still sleeping*
Maglor: *stretches a bit and moves to put away the journal that was sitting on the seat*
Ecthelion: *carries Lit off to her room*
Maglor: *watches them go, cleaning up Lit's papers and colours from earlier, and then goes to make some tea for Lio*
Ecthelion: *comes back after Lit is settled and joins her in the kitchen* Hi.
Maglor: Hey. *hands him the tea* How you doing?
Ecthelion: *takes it with a grateful smile* Better now that I'm home.
Maglor: *nods, stroking his cheek*
Ecthelion: *turns and kisses her hand*
Maglor: You hungry? Need something else? *leans in to kiss his neck*
Ecthelion: *sighs* Do you mind if I ask you a few questions, regarding the murder investigations? Nothing complicated, I just need some info.
Maglor: *nods* Of course, love.
Ecthelion: Okay, let's sit for a minute. *retrieves his notebook from his pocket*
Maglor: Sure. *curls herself into a chair*
Ecthelion: Okay. When I told you Curufin had been murdered, you seemed to think it was connected to your business, because both of them worked for you. What jobs did they do?
Maglor: They... *looks at the floor* They might have threatened people for me.
Ecthelion: *nods* And who were these people?
Maglor: Other merchants who sold or carried sugar, so I would be the only distributor.
Ecthelion: Are these people you think will threaten back? People you think would want to kill?
Maglor: I didn't think so. I mean, who would mess with my family?
Ecthelion: You thought before some might. What are the names?
Maglor: I can get you a list.
Ecthelion: *hands her a piece of paper and his pen* Yeah, just write them down.
Maglor: *nods, writing them all for him* I hope this helps and I'm not just sending you down a dead end or something.
Ecthelion: Well, we're working other leads, but I don't want to overlook anything.
Maglor: No. We need to find this fucker and stop him. *looks at Lio* I need you to.
Ecthelion: *nods* We will. I promise.
Maglor: *takes his hand in both of hers* I believe you.
Ecthelion: *leans to kiss her* Is there anything else about your business, or the work Curu or Cara did for you, that you should tell me? Anything that you can think of?
Maglor: Umn. I may have slept with a few people to help it, too. *nuzzles his cheek* Not since I've been with you, though.
Ecthelion: *slowly* Oh-kay. Their names are on the list, then?
Maglor: *nods* I guess I've made a bit of a mess in the past...
Ecthelion: *shakes his head* I just need to know if there's anything - anything at all - that makes you think these people, any of them, would be killers.
Maglor: Just if they want revenge. Many of them didn't know of my involvement, only of my brothers. We kept it that way on purpose.
Ecthelion: *nods* But you think that they have motive to kill your brothers.....
Maglor: I don't know. They might. *hangs her head*
Maglor: *brings her hands to her face and rubs it* Wouldn't you want to hurt someone who hurt you?
Ecthelion: Well.... are you telling me your brothers killed people for you?
Maglor: Only threats. At least as far as they told me. But even that could upset some people. I know I certainly wouldn't take a threat against you or Lit well.
Ecthelion: *nods* I don't want anyone to threaten your or Lit either. But I think murder is going a bit too far. *shrugs* But to be honest, I think the murders are unrelated to anything from your business. The kind of retaliation you're talking about tends to be a heat of the moment crime - these were definitely planned ahead of time and coldly executed.
Maglor: I hope you're right. *leans in to him* I just... I just wanted to make sure.
Ecthelion: *kisses her* It's okay.
Maglor: It's not, Lio. Two of my brothers are dead. *sounds like she's trying not to cry*
Ecthelion: *pulls her close and hugs tight*
Maglor: *clings to him, gripping him with all her strength* What if something happens? What if I lose you?

Maglor: *nods, nuzzles closer*
Ecthelion: *just keeps holding and soothing, kissing lightly*
Maglor: *softly* I used to think I didn't have anyone to think about. I did things without anyc concern for anyone. Least of all myself. I thought they would only catch up with me... and now? I'm scared, Lio. I'm sorry. I'm so, so sorry. *rests her head on his shoulder*
Ecthelion: Ah, baby. You can't be blaming yourself for this.
Maglor: *feeble joke* Love, I blame myself even when the weather changes.
Ecthelion: *smiles at her* And you need to stop that too.
Maglor: My bad jokes, you mean? *sniffs, a tear finally escaping*

Ecthelion: *teases her* Oh, -that's- allowed. *seriously* But not everything is your fault.
Maglor: *small smile* I guess some of it can be your fault.

Maglor: It's your fault I finally understand what it is to love. *lightly strokes his chest*
Ecthelion: Then I did something right.
Maglor: You've done many things right. *kisses gently* At least, by my count.
Ecthelion: *strokes her hair back from her face* Oh, good.
Maglor: *moves into his touch* I'd probably have given up by now, if not for you.
Ecthelion: I'm glad I came along then.
Maglor: I think I am, too.
Ecthelion: *kisses deeply* Oh, I hope so.
Maglor: *purrs against his lips* I'm glad I have you. I'm just not sure I'm glad to have me.
Ecthelion: Well, -I'm- glad I have you, so at least there's one of us.
Maglor: You're the best part of my having become female.
Ecthelion: And Lit too, I'd imagine.
Maglor: Mnn. *nods* I never ever dreamed I'd have a family. Not like this.
Ecthelion: Well, that makes it all the more special.
Maglor: Though, I do find myself wishing for my old body, still.
Ecthelion: *nods* Yeah. That reminds me.... *gets the vial Glorfindel gave him out of his pocket* Glor said to give this to you.
Maglor: *takes it and looks at it before handing it back* I asked him to give it to you.
Ecthelion: He said, yeah.
Maglor: As I recall, I said I'd marry you if you'd accept my male form.
Ecthelion: *slowly* You did.
Maglor: I need to know I still love you, in case... *shrugs* But I'm leaving it in your hands. *shakily* I'm giving you that power over me.
Ecthelion: *gives it back to her* That's not.... I don't want that.
Maglor: *sighs and takes it*
Ecthelion: You have to decide that for yourself, Kana. I can't do it. When I said I love you, I meant it. I mean it always.
Maglor: I know. *sets the potion down on the table and strokes Lio's face* Above all else, I know that. I only pray my heart can be as steadfast, for it's what you deserve.
