Would you like to be part of the first Found in Translation Fic Exchange ever? Do you have experience and advice to offer? Are you a huge sucker who I can make help me run this? Well then, you've come to the right place!
Our exchange is inspired by
yuletide, though we're not affiliated in any way. Because any anime available in English has at least fifty pages of eye-bleedingly terrible drabbles available on fanfiction.net, most can't make it into other rare fandom fic exchanges. Here at Found in Translation, we are going to ignore ff.n. We still want this to be a rare fandom exchange; we're just changing the rarity rubric.
That's where you come in. If a fandom is truly rare, I probably won't have heard of it. (This goes double for anything non-Japanese, so speak up, you fans of manhua, manhwa etc.) If I haven't heard of it, I can't use google blogsearch to stalk its members find more people to join our exchange. So tell us what fandoms you'd like to see make the list next summer. Tell us where to find the original media, translations, fan translations, spin offs, and anything else a slavering fan should see.
Rules: we don't have any rules yet. Those are up to you too. Are you dying to see some rare pairings included here and not just rare fandoms? Let us know. Do you want to include some weird thing in Spanish or just your fandom that keeps getting knocked out of Yuletide? I don't promise to include your cinepuri-only PoT splinter fandom requests, but I'll consider anything. If you make me user icons, help me run FiT, give me good advice, or especially host a web page for me, I'll really consider anything. We are not above extortion and nepotism.
Come give me your opinions, and pass this community along to anyone who might be interested.
