So I was thinking about the future. Yes, I do this a lot. But I don't think I've ever been so confused at what I want to do. I know I'm sticking with the Civil Engineering thing (I like it and I think my mom will kill me if I change it again). But where do I want to go after college? A couploe of my choices are:
Dow: A huge company and has some really good benefits. But I don't really want to work at a Chemical plant for the rest of my life. I also don't want to live in: Midland, Mi... Texas or Louisana. So ex that one out.
Walbridge Aldinger: A contruction management company that offered me an internship for the summer. I would get to stay close to home or I could move to Chicago, New York... also projects in California, Minnesota, Texas and Louisana.
Other Detroit based contruction companies: I have a couple of other internship offers around Detroit, companies would let me stay close to home, but money, benefits and locations are not as good as Walbridge Aldinger.
Now the other things I have been playing with:
Move out of the country: UK is a top option, there are plenty of jobs for Civil Engineers and contruction management. It will also quench my needs to explor and not just live a mediocer life. There are a lot of opertunities in the Middle East, but I don't think I am crazy enough to take those.
Peace Core/ Engineers without Borders: Both options to go out of the country and help in places that really need it.
Go to grad school: Law school and grad school for engineering are both options... not sure if I like either of those. I really don't want to spend more time and money in school.
So I'm not sure how to even go about decideing what I want to do. I start my German classes at MSU next semester, and will probably take French later on. I honestly want to send out a poll and do what people vote....
