[Rei finds herself on roofs an awful lot, for being a girl who likes her feet firmly on the ground. However, she makes her way to the roof and sits down next to Ulquiorra, not bothering to announce her presence. He, like Hitsugaya and the other shinigami, could sense her energy.

She is quiet for a moment before looking up at the Hollow.]

It's useless to dwell on what I would prefer. At best, it would have no effect on what happens, and at worst the Animus may deliberately take the least popular option.

I didn't specify. *After all, bringing her back when it would be uncomfortable would be just as cruel as not bringing her back when she's sorely missed. Rei's right, though.*
