At first glance, the wounds don't seem too bad, but closer examination reveals that, despite the fact that hardly any blood is dripping from them, the gashes run fairly deep

[She gets there as soon as she can --and skids to a stop next to Ulquiorra, dropping to her knees, her hands gently pressing against his arm. He's still alive -- good, but he isn't out of the woods. Far from it.]

Ulquiorra -- can you hear me?

*His eyes are half closed until she gets there, but when he feels her reiatsu-oh god it smells good right now-he opens them and tries to shift to look at her. He flinches when she touches his arm, before coughing up another chunk of what looks like semi-coagulated blood and nodding.*

[She forces a smile when he looks at her, more for his own benefit than hers, and she immediately begins to check him over, moving quickly and efficiently.]

Unohana-san is on her way -- you need to sit up, you can breathe easier that way and clear out your lungs -- lean on me.

*His wounds are deep and it doesn't look like his Hierro did anything to stop the blade that made them. It's utterly blatant just looking at him that the only reason he hasn't bled out yet is because he doesn't actually have a heartbeat. The burns are nasty looking too, though there's enough difference in severity to imply that his hierro did work against it, up until a certain point. The most striking part, though, aside from the coughing up blood-though there aren't any wounds that go through his chest anymore-is the fact that he's not healing at a visible rate.

He does manage to move a little bit in response to her offer, but it looks like he's too weak to sit up on his own.*

[She's quick to shed her jacket, ripping off the sleeves as quickly as possible to begin pressing the cloth against the wounds. Why isn't he healing? Why is he even still bleeding? Something is wrong -- but she works to bind them over his wounds before gently pulling his arm upwards, ducking to pull it around her shoulders, to pull him up a little bit. She's quick to slide her legs underneath his shoulders, so he can lay at something of an angle, to breathe a little easier.

She's going to be covered in Hollow blood. It's an absent thought in the back of her mind, but she ignores it, as does she ignore the inevitable onslaught on her senses at the proximity.]

You went all out against him, huh.

[It's a murmur as she works. She felt it. And, suddenly, his healing -- or lack thereof -- makes some amount of sense. Maybe he has no more energy to give.]

*He reaches up weakly to wipe the blood off of his mouth with a hand covered in drying human blood.*

I don't trust Madar- *hack hack* Madara with someone like him.
