Family Photos (etc)
New to the community via the spotlight, of course. Congrats on getting up there, by the way.
I have a mild obsession with the past. I love looking at old pictures and watching silent films, etc. Last March, my Grandfather passed away and I got to go through all his old photo albums to put together a collage for his funeral. I thought I might post some of them here.
From sometime in the 1940s. My Grandpa was just a teenager. He's the one on the far left, his brother is in the middle, and that's their friend on the right.
My grandparents together in the late 1950s. My Grandma was 18 and my Grandpa was 22. Grandpa had just gotten back from a tour in Germany with the Army. They got married a couple of years later.
My Grandpa on Christmas the year before he married my Grandma (1961). He was 24.
My grandparents the night before their wedding in 1962.
My grandparents at their wedding in a picture with the pastor that married them. Suddenly color.
I have a whole lot more but I didn't know the rules as to how recent the pictures are allowed to be and how many we can post at once. So these will have to do for now.
