Morning...
Well, it has been quite awhile since I have felt the need and had the time to enter a little info about myself. I'm eating breakfast before work (part of the reason for a lack of time) and I was up early doing pilates, so I figure, hey.. I deserve a quick write. Where to start...
I'm not pregnant, though we've been trying. My Mom says when things settle down then it'll happen. Although, she also gives us permission not to call on the weekend if we're too busy trying to "have grandbabies", as she put it. I always thought my parents wouldn't put any pressure on the idea. Well, they're not really, but I think my Mom is OK with the idea now. Actually, I think the whole of what she said was that we needed to "come home so you can have some grandbabies". As if they won't be had overseas. :) Ah well, mothers.. you gotta love em. They tell you so. :)
The unresolved issue regarding the military and my hubby will soon be resolved. We're looking at Oct 13th for his board date. We'll know then whether we're coming, going,.. most likely be going. My hubby has really been hitting the job boards lately, and today he finally got a response back that wasn't computer generated.. well, it was, but it didn't say "we've received your application," we'll get back to you.. bit. We're just hoping that whatever he finally decides on, it pays well. After 15 years of working for other people and getting next to nothing, it's time that changed. I'm not sure yet what I'm going to do. If things go that well for him, I may just do something part time and go back to school.. or I may put out my resume, too and see what I can come up with. I may not be the most experienced, but I am motivated. Speaking of which.. I got a bonus this paycheck! Like.. over $500 worth of a bonus. I was looking at my account balance going.. that can't be right, we got a bunch o' money. Then I look at my LES and go.. hmm, well that's more than I got last month, what happened. Is this mine? Then I looked a little closer and saw a note that said "Incentive Pay" - big wad o' cash, and I'm thinking.. ok.. how'd I get that? Who gave that to me? Did I impress the knew commander that much? The tour was only 5 minutes! Well, I called my boss and asked, and it turns out she gave me a bonus. For all the hard work I put into the children's summer reading program. I was like.. wow. Thanks. It was her pleasure. I like working for a boss that actually appreciates the efforts you put into the work day. It's nice.
Well, so things currently are looking more positive. I am bummed about leaving my boss in a position where she would have to hire someone else.. again. (We have like 3-5 new people at our main branch library.) However, I'm trying to be an absolute doll because I did up an SOP (standard operating procudure). It covered pretty much everything I could think of, even though we're going to a new system shortly, I added how to's on the old system anyway. At least the next person in charge won't be totally out of their league when it comes to what to do with the week.
I must be off to finish getting ready for work. Yeah and stuff. :)

Edit: The board date changed to early Novemeber.. the Lawyer's wife was scheduled to have a baby on the 8th, and then it turned out she had it like the 4th or something... so it got pushed back. Yay.
