Thursday night
Well, on Thursday night, I went and saw George Michael at the HP Pavillion in Downtown San Jose. I must say he was great!! I enjoyed the heck out of his show. The stage was magnificent. 3 screens that reminded me of giant flat panel displays. The center screen ran a good 60 up, curved down to cross the stage and ended in a curve just below the end of the stage. Wonderful graphics came across the screens. Sometime it was videos of GM, sometimes it was us and sometimes it was just graphics. The most beautiful was when he sang "Praying for Time" it starting with a rising sun, birds, blue sky. The sun travelled across all three screens and when it set, a moon came across and when it set, everything went black for a just a moment and then the bottom of the stage where GM was sitting blew up into billions of red flames. It was overwhelming.
My friend Pearly and I went to dinner at the Tied House, I was very good and stayed on my diet sort of had green salad with some chicken and Iced Tea. Then we walked the quarter mile or so back to the arena.
When we got there, there were a bunch of "Christians" telling us we were all going to hell and only Jesus could save us. We were way at the back of a long long line, everyone around us was livid that these guys were here. I did yell to them that they were "fuckin' idiots" and I think I flipped them off. Why do they care so much about who sleeps with who. Why?? I don't get it. I did mention when in line, That Jesus lived with 12 men and a hooker. It was suggested I say that to them but I didn't remember to do so. I wonder what they would have made of that.
I want to thank my trainer Bryan R because without him I wouldn't have had the stamina to walk the 5 or so block to and from the restaurant without alot of complaining and huffing and puffing. I was also mighty grateful I had lost 30 lbs and those little stadium seats were ever some much more comfy.. lol
