Kodak Duaflex II: Couples out of 60s

I developed the film as B&W and it came out very dense orange, so I had to make positive copies onto panchromatic film to get something out it (see below, it's clickable):
Not much to say other then it is 60s (hair-dress a'la Jacqueline Kennedy etc). First 6 frames were taken with flash. Who are these folks? Why the rest looks like they were shot by small kid? Why film had not been developed? All the answers are still there, on the other side of the River of Time.
