What an exquisite bit of language: the rhythm of the language what I might expect from Rowena, and from that era. Her aching grief is so bittersweet and so hauntingly familiar.
"I did not mean for this to be a search, yet I feel that I am always looking. "
I grieve, and heal, with her.

Mystery writer, I really really love you for this. It's gorgeous - there is so much in relatively little words because the words are just so infinitely right. I love how they speak, sparse sentences, beautifully archaic. I love the Rowena/Helga at the end because it seems like it could actually happen (which is quite a feat for a medieval-oriented story) and I also love Rowena's pain relating to Salazar - indeed not for the reasons one might expect, but completely believable!

I come here often, but not for solitude-solitude follows me as if it is my shadow, so it is not difficult to obtain. (In this place, I am never alone.)
I love this line, it rings true for both Rowena and the forest.

And I can't help but love the ending line to one thousand tiny pieces.

Thank you, mystery writer, thank you so much!

I still really love this. The style is so completely different, but it works wonders... it's very emotionally raw and yet it's still beautiful. And yeah - you know I think this is just love. ♥
