Mystery writer, I really really love you for this. It's gorgeous - there is so much in relatively little words because the words are just so infinitely right. I love how they speak, sparse sentences, beautifully archaic. I love the Rowena/Helga at the end because it seems like it could actually happen (which is quite a feat for a medieval-oriented story) and I also love Rowena's pain relating to Salazar - indeed not for the reasons one might expect, but completely believable!
I come here often, but not for solitude-solitude follows me as if it is my shadow, so it is not difficult to obtain. (In this place, I am never alone.)
I love this line, it rings true for both Rowena and the forest.
And I can't help but love the ending line to one thousand tiny pieces.
