This is wonderful... from the mirror being used to show the memories to the back stories of the characters. Well written, and a damned good story. Thank you. I dont know what I expected but this far exceeds my expectations.

I started reading thinking at first the discription of the mirror would be my favourite part, the the wonderful description of pulling the ribbon as an eagle... Reading Helga's memory and Salazar's kidnapping I think I was about to claim that was the best... now I don't know... I liked it all. Brava

This wasn't what I expected from the summary. Instead it was far more! Both the story and the details revealed are lovely. And did I spy the origins of the pensive?

And *grin* yeah, pensive was definitely what I had in mind... I mean, it had to start somewhere, and I figure magic is a lot like science - lots of the really great/important discoveries come from accidents/things not going the way they were expected to!
