I had a kind of frightening experience on the freeway this afternoon. A vehicle ahead of me slowed down a great deal as
I merged onto a freeway and with irritation I wondered why. Then I saw it was because there was something on the freeway
it drove over, which I immediately drove over, only I could hear it being dragged along with my car.
I changed lanes and pulled into the breakdown lane but I blanked on where my hazard light button was.
A second car pulled over in front of me and the driver checked out their car.
I got out of my own car on the passenger side and examined it, but found nothing and got back into the driver's seat
from the passenger side. I started breathing quickly but I calmed down and scrutinized my car again at my destination
and found nothing wrong it. I presume changing lanes caused the item to dislodge. I only saw it for a second or so
so I'm not sure what it was, but I recall a stripe, like a short surfboard, but I'm not sure it was a surfboard.
