So, it just DAWNED on me that today is FRIDAY, and I still haven't read all the prompts from COWBOY EYES (nor have I managed to WRITE a damn challenge fic) but, yeah. There it is.

Damn, the weeks are just *flying* by. I've sadly come to the conclusion that I just can't churn out fics by the week :(

I swear, I started to answer prompt 8, and I even had an idea of how to incorporate prompts 9 and 10 when it became obvious I wouldn't make deadline, but by prompt 11, it had become this monster that I kept revising, changing and chopping up. So, 8 pages in and it's nowhere near the end. Thus, I know I'd never catch up.

Anyway, I really had fun while it lasted! And I'll continue to follow this comm for all the wonderful fics - there are some really great stories because of the prompts and I've discovered some really awesome writers here :D

Thanks for the fun! Can't wait to see what this prompt will bring!

Aw, please don't leave! It's so not my intention for writers to feel frustrated and then want to quit. Not the purpose of this comm at all.

So I'm making a modly decision: For you, for this one time, I'll give you a pass on the rest of the prompts. You incorporate 8-10 and finish up that fic. Then you start with a fresh slate, and I'll even throw in a little discussion with you (if you want) for how you can attack future prompts once you get the other fic done and are newly inspired.

The purpose of the comm is to CHALLENGE writers, not dissuade and discourage them. I'm willing to make an exception, if you're willing to keep writing and striving.

Omg, "grabby hands" made me giggled like anything!

I definitely had no intention of leaving this comm (LOVE seeing what's new each week), just that my contribution would be limited to reading/commenting.

However, if you're sure, I'd definitely take your offer! Though I feel so guilty for letting you give me that free pass; I haven't earned it (unlike a certain person *coughlonghairedladycough*). And it certainly was my own fault for lagging behind. This comm. made me write, not discourage me :) it's just my ability to keep up is severely lacking.

Ironically, when you had that poll, I voted FOR the one week deadline. Ah, I was so naively optimistic :D
