Man, today was one day I really didn't want to work. It was the longest 6 hours of my life.
I started off in a horrible mood yesterday. I didn't want to go to work, but I obviously went. After work I went to Carole's and hung out with her and Gina. It was good times. I love them.
Something happened to the water pump at my house, and we have NO fucking hot water. How does one live without hot water? Honestly. I can't stand it.
I went out today to get shit for my bun's. Then I went to work. I was in a pretty bad mood from earlier conversations. And the fact that they don't give me much notice about working pisses me off. So I'm working on a saturday night. It sucks.
Johnny brings me an impound from hell, man. I mean, this car should never have been towed. The cops should have just let it sit there.
The lady that owns the vehicle was in the hospital with her 70 year old mother visiting her father who just had a triple by-pass. They parked their car at a meter and were 10 minutes late getting there. And their car had already been towed. They didn't realize it was towed, so she reported it stolen. If I get a car that's reported stolen, we have to have the police come and check it ou and write up a report on it before we can release it to anyone. So I enter the car in the c-pick and it comes back as stolen. So someone from like, 54 division calls and sends up and officer and all that jazz. Since it was a big mix up, and her car had been impounded, not stolen, he said I'd have to call 54 back when she came to get the car and have an officer come and take it out of their system. So she finally makes it at about 8:50. I call 54 and they say they'll send an officer over. We wait and wait, and at about 9:20 I call back and ask for an eta. they have no idea since they're so busy and what not.
These ladies tell me their life story. and I feel so bad. And it's not like it's very warm where they're waiting. And there's no chair. And this 70 year old lady has osteo in her knee's. They're standing there for 2 hours. And I can't go and bring her a chair because I can't leave my side of the office.
My shift was over at 10..but no officer had shown up. And I didn't want to leave them there with someone who knew nothing about the situation or anything. So I stood there with them until almost 11 when an officer showed up.
I felt so bad for them. It was some really big mix up. And they weren't even from Toronto. They had to mission back to peterborough tonight.
Poor ladies.
Anyways, that's my story of the night.
Ps. LEAH! I'd LOVE to take your pig, but I'm afraid I have absolutely no room for one :(
Counting down
Make that sounds
And you know it makes no sense
Counting down
Till you mess around
And I know you can't ever change
When I'm trembling,
Thrown overboard
And I'm ready to relive the past
Counting down
Make that sounds
Break the silence
Pretend it's not forever,
I'll pull myself together
I'll say that I'll forget her,
I'll breathe.
And I'll say she never hurt me,
And look at it as learning,
And laugh about the good and the bad.
Because I won't live forever
We don't belong together,
I know I'll feel better,
One day when I can make it through.
