Thank you all so much. It made my week.
I'm behind as usual and came too late to reciprocate - can I offer drabbles instead? Leave a prompt/pairing and I'll see what I can do. (though there might be some delay in answering)

"AAAAAAAAAh!" went the screaming infant on the lap of a somewhat subdued Lucius.
"He'd better got over this fear of loud noises if he wants to get into Slytherin someday," grumbled the (still young) grandfather.
"Perhaps it's the company that has him screaming, not the noise," Draco snidely commented as picked the wailing fruit of his loins and patted it expertly in the back.
Lucius sneered, hoping the veneer of contempt would be enough to cover his inner insecurity. It was bad enough to become a grandfather at the obscenely young age of 58, if Draco insisted on uncovering each and every one of his parental failings on the way, Scorpius's childhood threatened to be one long vale of gnashed teeth and bitter repartees.
"Don't worry," Narcissa whispered to him as she slipped a hand deftly along his thighs, under the thick festive tablecloth. "He's too small to appreciate you - but I'm not..."
The sneer melted into a smile. Playing footsie under the dinner table was another fine Malfoy tradition, albeit one that the younger generations had yet to discover, and it meant one good evening of one-to-one entertainment was soon to follow.
"If you're quite done coaxing a non-existant burp out of my grandson," he instructed Draco in a firmer voice, "you can hand him back to me. We were having a good time before you interrupted."
Draco lifted his eyebrows, all scepticism, but the sight of his wife and pudding, whose twin company childcare was currently depriving him of, were enough to have him conclude that, for all his numerous failings, his father did have some good qualities.
"Let's leave the other Xmas crackers for later," Astoria concluded as Scorpius found his way back to his original seat.

What a perfect holiday moment at the Manor! Lucius certainly looks much too young to be a grandfather. Why, he's still playing footsies with his wife, for goodness sake. How could a man like that possibly be old enough to have a grandchild?! Looks like little Scorpius has a new year full of spoiling to look forward to from his gorgeous grandpapa.

I don't know about too young, but he's certainly far too immature!
