I finally won an online poker tournament. I paid $37.80 to enter a regular multi-table tournament on Doylesroom.com, and placed first out of 114, winning $2,663.60. At the time I won, I had about $1.80 left in my poker account out of the $100 I'd deposited.
I don't know if it's a stroke of luck, a gift from a higher power, or a sign of sure genius! ha. it may actually be a curse.
But it came at the right time... as Firepay was threatening to charge me with writing 3 bad checks = 3 felonies. And even though I'd figured out how to solve this problem, winning this tournament made it so much less a back-breaking concern.
Accomplished, happy and scared all at once. Poker will do that to you.
