BREAST CANCER FUNDRAISER
As some of you know, I will be walking in the Breast Cancer 3 Day this coming August -- it's a 60 mile walk to benefit breast cancer research. Breast cancer plays an important role in my family history -- both my grandmother and her twin sister died from the disease. Unfortunately, too many of us have stories of someone we know who has been affected by breast cancer. There are more survivors than ever now, but it's not enough -- we need a cure. And that's why my mom and I are walking together -- to raise money to be used to FIND THAT CURE!
And so I ask for your help. I have pledged to raise $2200. I have just started a partnership with Stuff A Pal, a small company based in Michigan that sells customizable, build-your-own stuffed dolls and animals! There are over 30 stuffable toys to choose from, plus a large assortmant of clothing for each one! Each kit comes with a stuffable toy, the stuffing, instructions, and a birth certificate. They make great gifts for kids AND crafty adults! And for all sales made through my website, I receive 30% of the profits toward my fundraising goal! I am also collecting and recycling cell phones, ink jet cartridges, and laser toner cartridges to raise money, so for those of you in the Minneapolis area, DO NOT THROW YOUR OLD ONES AWAY! Why let them take up space in a landfill somewhere when they can be recycled and the proceeds can benefit something as great as this! I am more than happy to collect them from you -- just let me know!
