a busy bee am i
arg. i'm sore and tired. why am i up? i'm not sure i have clean clothes to wear to work tomorrow... so i'm sure i'll find something interesting in my clsoet that i haven't worn in a while.
this has been an extremely busy weekend. my cousin brian and his wife kate had their baby friday morning. patrick henry hopfinger 6lbs and 4oz and he was 5 weeks early. he's fully developed and healthy. they said if he had gone to full term he would have been 10+ lbs. so i dropped by the hospital to see them after work and then i went out with some people on friday. we bar hopped and not in a fun way. no where was really all that fun of a scene. i ended up home by midnight which was good because i was pooped.
saturday i had no intentions of doing much of anything, but i ended up at my cousin's house and i painted the nursery and helped get the house in order with some of my aunts and kate's mom. we got them an 8 foot stork for the front lawn. hilarious. they deliver it in the middle of the night and then pick it up 5 nights later. its got his name, weight and birthday, the whole nine. we were there until 1:30 in the morning.
i slept in today, about 11. again intending to do nothing. and then i couldn't get the internet to work so i could upload files to china. so i got up, showered, the like and went to bread co, to try and use their internet. that didn't work. then i went back to brian and kate's to see the baby in person, i had only seen him through the glass at the hospital. nursury. so i hung out there for a while. he's jaundiced so he has to spend the first 24hrs on this blue light bed, i think its like a tanning bed so he gets some uv vitamins.they velcro this little suit to in and then he gets velcroed in te suit. i don't think he liked it. i didn't get to hold him yet , but i got to play with him in the crib on the blue light bed for a bit. so i gelt there and then i went to my grandparent's house. i chatted for a bit and then i took some pictures of their hands for a project i think i'm going to work on. i've always wanted to do a picture of my grandpa's hands, i hope i can get them to look as good as i want them to when i'm done with them in photoshop. then i went to schnucks and now i'm home. and i should be in bed. but anyway.
